Quality fruit needs space. The plantation covers more than 171 hectares, 421 acres, or 239 soccer fields. 150 people work at this plantation.
Colombia
Colombia is the fourth largest country in South America. The terrain ranges from low-lying coastal regions to the Andean plateau at 18700 Feet or 5700m and tropical rainforest. Bananas are grown between the mountains and the sea. Locals do not eat much our cavendish bananas, they prefer plantains as a side dish, or Manzanos.Magdalena
The Magdalena area stretches along the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta in the North of Colombia. In spite of receiving water from seasonal rains and also from the Rio Frío and Sevilla rivers, water scarcity is an on-going concern in the region.Climate
