Spooky Movie Viewing Party
Plus party games
There’s nothing quite like sitting down to a spooky Halloween movie (or even a fun, family friendly one) to get into the spirit of the season. Why not make a whole night out of it? You could make a frighteningly delicious spread that includes our Spooky Halloween Fruit Platter as an appetizer followed by Oodles of Monster Swoodles, Orange and Green Meanies, Little Boo Brussels Sprouts, washed down with or refreshingly gory Sparkling Ghouls!
We recommend queueing up your favorite seasonal film and plan for an intermission halfway through. This allows for refills on refreshments and time to play a festive game that will have everyone guessing. We call it the Frightfully Fresh Fruits & Veggies Touch Game.
Have kids decorate the outside of each box using colorful tape, construction paper, pom pom's, string and foil. (Think pumpkins, witches, mummies, cauldrons, Frankenstein, black cats and more!) Then place fruit inside so they can take turns guessing what each item is! This is the perfect way to give new life to empty tissue boxes.
Peeled grapes = eyeballs
Dried apricot slices = witches’ ears
Steamed cauliflower = brains
Banana sliced lengthwise = vampire tongues
Mushrooms cut in half = zombie noses
We recommend having setting aside a portion of each of the foods on a large platter so children can taste them as part of the fun!
