Another way with bananas: spicy banana dip
Banana split, banana bread, banana shake… just some of the banana recipes that we are familiar with. How about a spicy banana dip for a change? Quick to make, it is the perfect accompaniment for fish, meat, vegetables and even salad.
Ingredients
- 2 bananas
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander
- 1 teaspoon freshly chopped mint
- ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- ¼ teaspoon finely chopped green chilli
Directions
- Using a fork, mash the bananas on a small board. Place the mashed banana in a small bowl that can be sealed airtight.
- Mix together the lime juice, coriander, mint, ginger and green chilli and keep the banana dip (in the airtight bowl) in the fridge until it is ready to eat.
