How do you pick ripe plums?

Most plums in the store are of the purple variety, the color should be deep and even. When ripe, the plum should have a sweet, fruity smell and should feel semi-soft to the touch.

Prepare

How do you prepare plums?

Plums, although best eaten fresh, can be used in salads, meat dishes and compotes. Try them grilled to bring out their sweetness! Cut along the seam and twist the two halves to open the fruit.

Storage

How do you store plums?

Plums stored in a plastic bag in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator should last for 3 to 5 days.
