1. GDPR Addendum (“EU Addendum”) 

The following EU Addendum applies solely to individuals located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) when they access or use Dole.EU (“Site”). This EU Addendum describes our policies and practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Data we collect about you directly or indirectly through Dole.EU. This EU Addendum is incorporated into and subject to the Terms of Use here. Any terms defined within the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) have the same meaning when utilized within this EU Addendum. 

This EU Addendum supplements and amends the information contained in the Site Privacy Policy with respect to individuals located in the EEA. The other provisions of the Site Privacy Policy continue to apply except as modified in this EU Addendum. 

For purposes of applicable data protection laws, Dole Food Company, Inc. (“Dole”) is the data controller of the Personal Data we collect through this Site. As data controller, we process your personal data in accordance with this EU Addendum.

2. Categories of Personal Data

7. Retention

8. Safeguarding of Information

We take a number of steps to safeguard the security of personal information obtained through the Site. This includes updating and testing our security technology on an ongoing basis; and training employees on data privacy and security awareness. However, no system for safeguarding personal or other information is 100% secure and although we have taken steps to protect your personal information from being intercepted, accessed, used or disclosed by unauthorized persons, we cannot fully eliminate security risks associated with personal information.

We may transfer your Personal Data out of the EEA to a country that does not have an EU Commission Adequacy Decision, including to the United States.
