Colima
Nested outside the traditional tropical belt, Colima- Michoacán combines perfect natural conditions to grow high quality organic bananas. Colima- Michoacán is the most northern organic banana production area in the world. With a much lower annual rainfall than traditional tropical growing regions, plants grow in a much drier and healthier environment, achieving a more sustainable low–input production system.Climate
Colima- Michoacán has a tropical, savanna climate with consistently high temperatures and dry conditions from November to May followed by rainfall from June to October. Growing organic bananas in dry conditions allows us to eliminate the use of non–biological controls, reaching the highest sustainability standards.Certifications for this farm
