Fruit Birthstones

May reveal your new favorite fruit!

Did you know that wearing your birthstone is believed to bring happiness, riches, and luck? If you're a fan of birthstones, then you'll absolutely love this fruity Dole twist on the traditional gems! Each month corresponds with a delicious fruit, and the best part is that these fruits not only taste amazing, but they’re also packed with health benefits.

January's birthstone fruit is the Garnet Red Banana. This sweet snack is perfect for on-the-go and comes with a boost of vitamin B6, vitamin C, and fiber. Plus, the deep red color of the peel  could appeal to children who are stuck in a fruit rut!

February brings us the regal Black Grape, similar in color to the majestic Amethyst birthstone. These grapes are rich in resveratrol, a compound that may help lower the risk of heart disease. Plus, they're also a good source of vitamin K, which helps with blood clotting.

For March, we have the exotic Kiwi, reminiscent of the serene Aquamarine. Kiwis are high in vitamin C, which supports a healthy immune system, and fiber, which aids in digestion. They're also a good source of folate, which is important for prenatal development.

April's birthstone fruit is the beloved banana, much like the precious Diamond. Not only are bananas a great source of energy, thanks to their high amount of carbs and potassium, but they also contain prebiotics that feed your gut bacteria and support a healthy digestive system.

May introduces us to the trustworthy Avocado, similar to the lush green Emerald. Avocados are chock-full of healthy fats, which can help reduce inflammation in the body. They also contain vitamin E, which is great for skin health.

June brings us the hard-to-crack Coconut, much like the elusive Pearl birthstone. Coconuts are a great source of dietary fiber and medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which studies suggest may support weight loss. Plus, coconut water is a great hydrator and even contains electrolytes like potassium and magnesium.

July's bold and passionate Ruby birthstone is perfectly represented by the juicy Strawberry. Strawberries are a good source of vitamin C and manganese, which plays a role in bone health. Plus, the flavonoids in strawberries have been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease.

For August, we have the Peridot-like Green Grape, which provides a perfect pick-me-up when you need it most. Green grapes contain polyphenols, which may help protect against certain types of cancer. They also deliver an excellent source of vitamin K.

September's wise and blue Sapphire birthstone aligns perfectly with blueberries. These tiny powerhouses are packed with antioxidants that can help protect against cell damage. They're also high in vitamins C and K, as well as fiber.

Creative and insightful, Tourmaline, and Dragon Fruit make the perfect pair for October. Dragon fruit is high in fiber, which can help improve digestion and promote satiety. It's also a good source of copper which plays a role in energy production.

November's birthstone Citrine, represents health and happiness, much like the tropical Pineapple. Pineapple is a good source of bromelain, an enzyme that can aid in digestion. It's also high in vitamin C and manganese.

Finally, December's Turquoise birthstone pairs perfectly with the decadent Pear. Pears are high in fiber, which supports healthy digestion, and vitamin C, which is great for skin and immune health.

So, there you have it - a birthstone fruit for every month, packed with delicious flavors and health benefits. So, the next time you're looking for a nutritious snack, why not try your birthstone fruit – or even branch out to other months? You never know, one might become your new favorite!
