3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup plus 1 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp DOLE® Nutrition Plus™ Whole Chia Seeds
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tsp grated lemon peel
1 tsp salt
9 tbsp unsalted butter, cold and cut in small pieces
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup low-fat milk

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tsp grated lemon peel
1 tsp salt
9 tbsp unsalted butter, cold and cut in small pieces

Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, lemon peel and salt in food processor.  Add butter pieces and pulse mixture until resembles a coarse meal.  Transfer to large bowl.

3 tbsp DOLE Nutrition Plus Whole Chia Seeds
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup low-fat milk

Blend chia seeds, lemon juice and milk with flour mixture by hand until dough comes together.  On a floured surface, flatten dough into an 8-inch round disc.  Cut round into 12 wedges; transfer wedges to baking sheet.

1 tbsp sugar

Brush tops of scones with milk and remaining granulated sugar.  Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown around edges and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.  Transfer to wire rack to cool.
