Meets Superfood Skin Criteria
To be labeled a Superfood for your Skin, one serving* must be at least an excellent source of both pro-vitamin A (as RAE – retinol activity equivalents) and vitamin C OR an excellent source of one of these vitamins and be a reasonable source of the other and vitamin E.
• Pro - Vitamin A Either as beta-carotene, alpha-carotene or beta-cryptoxanthin. Studies show vitamin A helps to maintain the epithelial tissues that make up the skin surface and may act as a gentle internal sunscreen.
• Vitamin C A potent antioxidant that encourages skin cell turnover and supports the formation of collagen - the connective tissues that give your skin its elasticity and youthful fullness.
• Vitamin E A potent antioxidant that research shows protects skin cells from free radical damage caused by the sun.
